Ray Sherwood, owner/manager of Golden Prairie Consulting, has been a consultant and facilitator since 1993.
Ray has delivered Introductory and Intermediate Accounting , Introduction to Financial Results and Annual reports, Personal Money Management, Business Case Development, and Financial Management for Non Financial Managers to numerous private and public sector organizations.
In addition, Ray has been a business sessional lecturer for the University of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba, Red River College, Le College Universitaire de Saint Boniface and for the CA School of Business.
Ray has extensive experience in consulting, design, and facilitation in accounting, finance, business planning and entrepreneurship. Ray has an understanding of both private and public sector employees, which allows the focus of his delivery to relate directly to the group. He has developed a reputation for providing a challenging, yet safe environment for people to participate in problem solving and working through change in organizations. He customizes his training and facilitation to meet the needs of the group and to provide guaranteed results. Feedback from Ray's workshops is consistently excellent.
Ray's past experience in government and private sector has been in administration, accounting, finance, marketing and customer service delivery. He has worked as an Auditor for Price Waterhouse Coopers, Bank manager, Vice-President of Commercial loans, CFO of Credo Entertainment and Frantic Films, and Business Planning Consultant for the Government of Manitoba.
Ray has also designed and delivered Accounting and Financial Training programs for over 2000 provincial and federal civil servants who required the program for certification.
Ray's post-secondary studies include a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), a Chartered Accountant(CA) designation, a Certified Financial Planner's certificate(CFP), a Canadian Securities Course certificate and an Adult Education Certificate.
